<br />(a) Whenever a dOli has bitten a human or a
<br />domestic or farm animal. the doa shall be
<br />imoounded or confined for a oeriod of ten
<br />(10) days or more at the expense of the

<br />Service Officer or anv police officer ef the
<br />city surrender the dog to the officer for
<br />observation and/or treatment. With the.
<br />aporoval of the ,officer the dOli mav be sur-
<br />rendered to a registered veterinarian or to
<br />any aooroved nonorofit comoration orQanized
