MOUNDS V~~V <br />City of Mounds View <br />Fire Inspections <br />2401 Highway 10 <br />Mounds View, 55112 <br />Business Phone 763-717-4024 <br />Fax 763-784-3462 <br />Non-required fire sprinkler system permits for single-family homes. <br />Definition: <br />From the Minnesota State Residential Building Code <br />Single-family: Any building that contains one dwelling unit used, intended, or designed <br />to be built, used, rented, leased, let or hired out to be occupied, or occupied for living <br />purposes. <br />Application and Submittal <br />A completed and signed permit application must be included with. the submittal <br />otherwise the submittal will be returned to the contractor. <br />2. Submit a minimum of two (2) sets of complete plans, specifications, and <br />hydraulic calculations for review to Fire Inspections. <br />3. The minimum drawing size scale is 1/8t" inch =one foot. Details shall be a <br />minimum 1/4t" inch =one foot or large enough to be legible if not to scale. <br />4. All submittals shall be in compliance with the requirements of the 2007 <br />Minnesota State Fire Code and the 2002 NFPA 13D. Adequate, concise, and <br />sufficient information shall be clearly indicated on the plans to review the system <br />design. <br />5. The newest edition of NFPA 13D may be used if it is clearly designated on the <br />plans and calculations, and must be utilized in its entirety. <br />6. Any material/installation deviation from approved plans will require permission <br />from the Fire Department. All changes shall be followed up in writing on <br />company letterhead. <br />Issuance of Permit <br />After the plans are reviewed and approved, the City will issue the permit. You <br />will receive one (1) copy of the approved plans to be placed on the job site. <br />2. No work shall be started without a permit and an approved set of plans on the job <br />site. The Inspection card shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the job site. <br />
