Mounds View City Council January 2, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />S Council Member Mueller asked if the Mounds View Community Center Task Force will <br />continue. <br />Ms. Crane indicated that it is not on the Resolution but she is seeking direction as to whether to <br />fill the positions on the Task Force. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Mayor Marty would like to keep the Community Center Task Force active as it is a fluid <br />operation over there. <br />Council Member Stigney said he would like to advertise for it and he would like to know what <br />the task would be for this group. <br />Mayor Marty said he would like them to consider marketing ideas and ideas on how to operate it <br />either as it is or on a membership basis. <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that she would like to continue operating the Task Force. <br />Council Member Stigney said that he does not want to staff it without any specific goals in mind. <br />• Council Member Flaherty said that it is a good idea to keep it open for now and suggested that <br />Council sit down with Park and Recreation Commission to formulate the purpose of the Task <br />Force. <br />Council asked that this be added to the February work session. <br />C. Resolution 6994 Appointments to the Planning Commission <br />Community Development Director Ericson asked Council for consideration of appointments to <br />the Planning Commission. He then explained that there were seven applications submitted and <br />those were reviewed by the Planning Commission and their recommendation is listed in the Staff <br />report. <br />Director Ericson pointed out that those that are not chosen for the Planning Commission could <br />consider the open seat on the Park and Recreation or Charter Commission. <br />City Administrator Ulrich pointed out that there is an opening on the Police Civil Service <br />Commission as well. <br />Keith Cramblit addressed the Council and expressed his interest in being on the Planning <br />Coinmission. ' <br />• Council Member Flaherty asked how long he had been a civil engineering technician. <br />
