Mounds View City Council January 2, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />Mr. Cramblit indicated that he has been doing so for two years. • <br />Council Member Mueller asked if he had done any other volunteer or community work. <br />Mr. Cramblit responded that he had not had an opportunity to do so until now. <br />Gabriela Kulp addressed Council and asked for consideration of being on the Planning <br />Commission as she has lived in the City for 11 years and is employed as a realtor. <br />Council Member Mueller asked if Ms. Kulp has done any other volunteer or community service <br />work. <br />Ms. Kulp indicated that she volunteers for Paint a Thon and at the Anoka County Armory and <br />for toy drives during the holiday season. <br />Council Member Flaherty asked if her schedule would be an issue with her employment as a <br />realtor. <br />Ms. Kulp indicated that she has a very flexible schedule. <br />Todd Lang expressed his interest in being on the Planning Commission and provided <br />background information on his employment and training that would assist him in being a <br />Planning Commissioner. • <br />Council Member Mueller asked if Mr. Lang had done any other volunteer work. <br />Mr. Lang indicated that he has been too busy with raising kids and his career to this point but <br />would like to begin doing so. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the Planning Commission made any recommendations as to <br />who should serve the one year term. <br />Director Ericson indicated that the discussion was that the person with the fewest number of <br />votes would serve the one year term but there was a three way tie for the fewest votes and that is <br />why there was no one recommended for the one year term. <br />Council Member Hull indicated that Mr. Lang should get a three year seat as he got the most <br />votes. <br />Council Member Flaherty said he would like to go with the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he would like to consider Ms. Walsh-Kaczmarek for the one year <br />term. <br />• <br />
