Mounds View City Council Apri123, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br />Council Member Mueller asked how many this restaurant will be able to seat. • <br />Coordinator Backman explained that Mounds View Square would have adequate parking. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that this seems a little premature, and, he has no issue with it but <br />there is no plan before the Council for what the building will look like. <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained that the license is important to this business and, they <br />wanted to make sure that they could obtain the license before expending a lot of money at this <br />location. He then suggested that the license could be a conditional approval. <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that the approval will be contingent upon <br />the request meeting all City requirements. <br />Coordinator Backman said that he asked them how they feel about the customer base while <br />moving and was told that they feel comfortable with this location as they feel that their <br />customers are located all around the area. He then said that Staff is trying to move the process <br />along but, they are spending money to relocate to this site and that is why Staff is hying to <br />accommodate them. <br />Council Member Mueller said that when she was talking to a resident one thing that residents <br />want is a sit down restaurant and she is very excited about this opportunity. • <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Approve Scheduling a Public Hearing for Monday, <br />May 14, 2007 at 7:05 p.m, to Consider an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Totino's <br />Restaurant Located at 2535 County Road 10 in Mounds View. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />D. Resoiution 7072 Authorizing the Preparation of a Joint Powers <br />Agreement and Setting a Public Improvement Hearing Date for the <br />2007 Seal Cost Project <br />Council Member Flaherty would like to provide plenty of information, even before the public <br />hearing, so that residents are informed. He then asked Public Works Director Lee to provide <br />information as to what would be happening at the public hearing. <br />Public Works Director Lee provided an expianation. <br />Council Member Mueller asked Staff to explain why the seal coating comes up on newer streets. <br />Public Works Director Lee explained that there is a seal coat program, to coat streets within <br />three to five years of reconstruction, and then 5 to 6 years after that to maintain the best ~ <br />pavement management program possible for the streets. <br />
