Mounds View City Council May 14, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />• Hearing no comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing. <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether any negative comments were received from the <br />neighbors. <br />Director Ericson expiained that no negative comments were received from the neighboring <br />community. <br />Mayor Marty pointed out that under Section 2, Subdivision 8, on the last page there is language <br />that leaves this open if the City would determine that some changes need to be made. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 788, <br />Approving Amendments to Chapters 1102 and 1113 of the Mounds View Zoning Code to Define <br />Neighborhood Motor Fuel Station and Allow Such as a Conditional Use Within the B-2 Zoning <br />District. <br />Council Member Stigney said that he feels this is too intensive of a use for the neighborhood and <br />he does not support it. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that this neighborhood fuel station has been in operation for a number of <br />years and it serves the neighborhood well. He then said that he sees this as their way of making <br />• the station more efficient. <br />Council Member Stigney said that he thinks that servicing eight vehicles at one time is too <br />intensive and that is why he does not support it. <br />ROLL CALL: Mueller/Flaherty/Hull/Stigney/Marty <br />Ayes - 3 <br />Nays -1(Stigney) Motion carried. <br />Council Member Hull abstained from voting. <br />C. Pnblic Hearing, Consideration of Resolution 7085, Approving the Feasibility <br />Report, Ordering the Project, Authorizing the Preparation of Plans and <br />Specifications, and Approving a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of <br />Spring Lake Park for the 2007 Seal Coat Project <br />Public Works Director Lee explained the City's plan for the 2007 seal coat project. <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 8:20 p.m. <br />Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing. <br />• Council Member Flaherty said that the total cost estimate was $195,700 and asked whether that <br />is before the 10% savings with the Joint Powers Agreement. <br />
