25 <br />directed br.y the Council except the finance committee. Each committee except the <br />finance committee shall prepare a 'cork schedule and budget for the coming year <br />and present it to the Finance Committee on or before August first of each year. <br />The following shall be the standing committees, with duties as prescribed: <br />1. Finance. The finance committee shall consist of the Council as a whole. It <br />shall meet from time to time and specifically on or before August 15th each rear to <br />receive proposed budgets and work programs from all committees and prepare a complete <br />village budget for the coming year. <br />2. License. The license committee shall meet from time to time to investigate <br />the license applications of the village. <br />3. Public Safety. (including Police, Fire, Building and Zong Regulations Etc.) <br />A. Police department. <br />1. The Police department shall be governed by Ordinance No. 50. <br />B. Fire Department. <br />The Committee shall receive a report each month from the Fire Department <br />which serves the Village as to day, time of day, address, nature of call <br />and approximate loss on each call made in the Village. <br />C. Building and zoning. <br />The Committee shall investigate violations of the Building Code and Zoning <br />Ordinance and the enforcement of each, as directed by the Village Council. <br />4. Public Works. (Including streets, sewers, water, light, etc.) <br />Tile committee shall make recommendations to the Council as to repair, <br />maintenance, re— building and or building of streets, sewers, water, light, etc <br />5. Public Welfare. (Including health, recreation, narks, playgrounds, and <br />public buildings, etc.) <br />The committee shall make recommendations to the Village Council concerning <br />the health and welfare of the Village, recreation parks, playgrounds, and <br />public buildings. <br />6. Planning Commission. <br />
