-3- <br />0J0111 <br />Crane read the July report of the Police Department <br />which showed 5,420 miles patroled, 183 calls in the Village <br />answered, 49 traffic tags issued, with 6 accidents, 7 <br />hospital runs and 6 juveniles sent to court. <br />Crane presented and explained resolution regarding <br />NSSD Federal grant for disposal plant. <br />Malvin reported on the activities at Lakeside Park. <br />Sullivan reviewed bids for surfacing parking lot, <br />preferred County to dothe work. Reported that grading was <br />done on Gloria Circle. <br />Milt Stole read minutes of August 9, 1962, joint meeting <br />of Planning Commission and Industrial Development Committee. <br />The recommendations of the Planner were read: (A) The request <br />of a foundry between Highway #10 and eounty Road H -2. Since <br />a foundry is classed as heavy industry, the location suggested <br />would not be compatable, (B) Locate the Drive -In Theater, <br />South of Highway #10, and the proper zone a special use <br />under B -3. <br />Motion by Sullivan to issue a special use permit to allow <br />Mt. C. 3raathcn+ to have three excess utility buildings located <br />at County Roau H -2 and Fairchild for one year. It would not <br />be deterrent to anyone. Seconded by Crane. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Chris Piehowski, Building Inspector, recommended that the <br />residential building at 8281 Spring Lake Park Road be con- <br />demned, house had been red tagged in 1957; matter referred <br />to Attorney. <br />Motion by Hodges to pay bills submitted. Seconded by <br />Crane. 4 Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Motion by Crane that the grades and elevation for <br />constructing Village sidewalks to be supplied by the Village <br />Engineer, but the cost of staking to be incurred by the <br />individual, although the Village Engineer would be allowed <br />to do this at np cost to the Village. Seconded by Hodges. <br />4 Ayes, Motion arried. <br />Les Knutson reported that the temporary drainage <br />at Bronson and Groveland is being checked. <br />Mc by Crane to authorize the Village Engineer to <br />prepare the proposed standard street design with estimated <br />cost. At least three or four different designs to apply <br />for the whole area, the per foot cost of each type, plus the <br />over all cost. Seconded by Sullivan. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Knutson reported that the Babinski drainage was checked <br />that Dr. Barr, State Health Officer, will investigate this <br />sewer problem. Mayor Crane read a copy of a letter from <br />the Village Health Officer, Dr. Houle, regarding this area <br />having overflow and seepage from the sewage systems in <br />violation of the Mounds View Village Health Law. <br />
