The address is: <br />-2- <br />The Mayor commented on the safety problem with Highway #10. The County <br />Commissioner was contacted and he wrote a letter to the Highway Department <br />for us in which he listed justification and requested the installation of <br />Cr.p ..i <br />A letter from our kolice Chief to the Highway Department was read, requesting <br />traffic controls. The reply was also read indicating that they are studying the <br />matter further. <br />The Mayor requested that concerned residents write to the Commissioner of <br />Highways and express their concern that action be taken. <br />John R. Jamisson, State Highway Commissioner <br />Central Offices, State Highway Building <br />St. Paul, Minnesota <br />A proposed resolution in opposition to Metro government was discussed. The <br />Attorney defined considerations of the two bills being considered in the <br />Legislature. <br />A discussion of the effect of the Metro plans on NSSSD followed. The Mayor <br />invited residents to make their feelings known concerning the idea of Metro <br />Government. <br />A list of 1966 disbursements by the Lakeside Park Commission was presented <br />and will be on file in the office for inspection. <br />Resident John Radway questioned action on the rat problem. The Mayor ad- <br />vised that the Police normally check on this in the Spring. The Letter to <br />the Launching iad requesting the clean up of rubbish behind their building <br />within seven days was read. <br />M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve bills as represented by check numbers 927 <br />through 953, 955 through 972, and 3132 through 3146. 5 Ayes <br />M /S /Y (Walser /Rustad) To approve the general contractors license for Arnold <br />H. Johnson, the license for the Mr. Softie Company of Anoka, the 3.2 Off <br />Sale and cigarette licenses for B L R Grocery, and the license for Suburban <br />Fick -Up. 5 Ayes <br />M /S /k (IJalser /Malvin) To approve a lot split for tax apportionment as <br />represented by resolution #296. 5 Ayes <br />The Mayor opened the hearing on a special use permit for Superior 400 at <br />9:00 P. M. <br />The Clerk acknowledged the two publications of the notice of the hearing as <br />required. <br />Superior 400 presented the plans and requested the Shopping Center Zoning be <br />changed to permit a Store- Station on their property on Highway Avenue and <br />Highway 10 by County Road H. <br />Residents questioned when the Restaurant and Motel would be built. Trustee <br />Gary Lang stated that it appears that it will be some time before they <br />proceed with the other construction. <br />
