February 12, 1979 Page 9 COMMISSION AND LIAISON APPOINTMENTS Mayor McCarty read the list of liaison appointments he was recommending: Planning Commission Liaison Councilmember Forslund Park and Rec Commission Liaison Councilmember Ziebarth Lakeside Park Commission Liaison Councilmember Rowley Human Rights Commission Liaison Mayor McCarty Festivities Commission Liaison Councilmember Ziebarth Fire District Board Liaison Councilmember Hodges Ramsey County League of Local Governments Councilmember Rowley, Mayor McCarty and Acting Administrator Anderson Association of Metro. Municipalities Mayor McCarty, Councilmember Forslund and Acting Administrator Anderson Metropolitan Council Councilmember Ziebarth No. Suburban Day Activity Center Councilmember Rowley NW Suburban Youth Service Bureau Councilmember Hodges MN Mayors Association Mayor McCarty No. Suburban Chamber of Commerce Acting Administrator Anderson MSP Ziebarth- Rowley) to approve the Council liaison positions as stated. 5 aye& Mayor McCarty stated that he was asking all appointments to be made provisionally and that if the person did not attend the meetings, they could be asked to resign within the next year because the commissions are important and they need people who are willing to put in the time. Mayor McCarty read the list of commission appointments he was recommending: Planning Commission Barb Haake Chair Paul Fedor David Freemore Joseph Goebel Nancy Burmeister Park and Recreation Commission Gordon Fedor Frank Holm Lloyd Scott Jerry Linke Frank Silvis Human Rights Commission Gerald Skelly Wayne Lago Ed Smith Festivities Commission Shirley Munholand Chair Barb McCluskey Karen Leverentz Dorothy Willhaus Police Civil Service Commission Lowell Uber Safety Committee Herschel Pepin Bruce Anderson Chair Councilmember Forslund stated she would rather not vote on the Planning Commission appointments until the two new applicants had been interviewed.
