February 12, 1979 Page 9 <br />COMMISSION AND LIAISON APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor McCarty read the list of liaison appointments he was recommending: <br />Planning Commission Liaison Councilmember Forslund <br />Park and Rec Commission Liaison Councilmember Ziebarth <br />Lakeside Park Commission Liaison Councilmember Rowley <br />Human Rights Commission Liaison Mayor McCarty <br />Festivities Commission Liaison Councilmember Ziebarth <br />Fire District Board Liaison Councilmember Hodges <br />Ramsey County League of Local Governments Councilmember Rowley, <br />Mayor McCarty and Acting Administrator Anderson <br />Association of Metro. Municipalities Mayor McCarty, Councilmember <br />Forslund and Acting Administrator Anderson <br />Metropolitan Council Councilmember Ziebarth <br />No. Suburban Day Activity Center Councilmember Rowley <br />NW Suburban Youth Service Bureau Councilmember Hodges <br />MN Mayors Association Mayor McCarty <br />No. Suburban Chamber of Commerce Acting Administrator Anderson <br />MSP Ziebarth- Rowley) to approve the Council liaison positions as <br />stated. 5 aye& <br />Mayor McCarty stated that he was asking all appointments to be made <br />provisionally and that if the person did not attend the meetings, they <br />could be asked to resign within the next year because the commissions <br />are important and they need people who are willing to put in the time. <br />Mayor McCarty read the list of commission appointments he was recommending: <br />Planning Commission Barb Haake Chair <br />Paul Fedor <br />David Freemore <br />Joseph Goebel <br />Nancy Burmeister <br />Park and Recreation Commission Gordon Fedor <br />Frank Holm <br />Lloyd Scott <br />Jerry Linke <br />Frank Silvis <br />Human Rights Commission Gerald Skelly <br />Wayne Lago <br />Ed Smith <br />Festivities Commission Shirley Munholand Chair <br />Barb McCluskey <br />Karen Leverentz <br />Dorothy Willhaus <br />Police Civil Service Commission Lowell Uber <br />Safety Committee Herschel Pepin <br />Bruce Anderson Chair <br />Councilmember Forslund stated she would rather not vote on the Planning <br />Commission appointments until the two new applicants had been interviewed. <br />
