April 9, 1979 Page <br />with the changes as it takes away the directive power of the admini- <br />strator, which is necessary. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HODGES' REPORT <br />Councilmember Hodges presented Mayor McCarty with the information he <br />had pulled from his file for Clean -Up Day. <br />COUNCILMEMBER FORSLUND'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Forslund had no report. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Rowley stated that she also could not agree with Mr. Loeding's <br />suggestions for changing the administrator's description. <br />ATTORNEY MEYERS' REPORT <br />Attorney Meyers reported that he has notified the past and present Council <br />members involved with the James Refrigeration case of the May 1 hearing <br />date. <br />ACTING ADMINISTRATOR ANDERSON'S REPORT <br />Acting Administrator Anderson reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings <br />for the Council. <br />Acting Administrator Anderson reported that the City had received a letter <br />from MTC informing them that the change in route alignment as requested <br />by the City Council will go into effect April 16, 1979. <br />Acting Administrator Anderson reported that Northwestern Bell has started <br />work on the new telephone system and they expect the installation to be <br />complete by April 20. He added that there will be an additional expense <br />with having two receptionist areas since it will require one more 10 key <br />phone. He also reported that no bids have been received yet on the <br />counter modifications. <br />Acting Administrator Anderson reported that the auditors expect to be <br />finished by April 12. He also reported that department heads are working <br />now on a car policy and should have it ready within the next few weeks. <br />Acting Administrator Anderson recommended that the Council begin <br />thinking about having a retreat for Council, Staff and the new Administra- <br />tor. <br />
