MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />February 11, 1980 <br />Page 12 <br />being put out to the public during the <br />month of February. The purpose of this <br />letter is to inform the public of the sur- <br />vey, the reasons the respons is being <br />solicited, and encouragement to return the <br />survey form and how that can be accomplish <br />ed. Nelson read the letter to the public. <br />He asked the mayor to sign the letter, which <br />the mayor had done, and return to the Staff <br />in order to meet the timetables provided by <br />the Director. <br />Second item concerns work be performed by <br />the City's Engineer regarding questions over <br />Silverview Park Lake. The Council asked the <br />purpose behind the need for the study and it <br />was explained that it was necessary for the <br />City to understand some of the ramifications <br />of this Lake in the future. Ziebarth moved <br />that the Shunt Elliott study on the Silver <br />view Park Lake be approved pursuant to the <br />memo of the Park Director dated February 6, <br />1980 and that the cost of the project should <br />not exceed $2,000 and if it appears that it <br />will, that the City Council take the matter <br />under advisement before proceeding with ad- <br />ditional expenditures. nudges seconded the <br />motion. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />City Council also determined that the exact <br />method of funding of this study would be <br />determined at a later date. <br />
