January 12, 1981 Regular Meeting Page Two The Council discussed the issue of density versus demand of service as well as where the east /west or north /south rezonings of R -1 to R -2 were going. The Council agreed they would like to have the Planning Com- mission define the comprehensive plan on this issue and to meet with the Council for discussion of this issue. AMENDMENT TO THE MAIN MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty to continue the public hearing on the rezoning request from R1 to R2 for x,15 County Road I (Mr. Donald Spagenski) on March 23, 1981, at 7:40 P.M. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. MAIN MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Blanchard, to table this request from Mr. Donald Spagenski (to rezone R1 to R2 for the property on 2415 County Road I) until recommendation from the Planning Commission on the subject of R1 to R2 conversions within the low density description as given in the comprehensive plan could be provided. Ayes -5 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. REGULAR MEETING CLOSED: 8:06 P.M. PUBLIC HEARING OPENED: 8:06 P.M_ Building and Zoning Official Rose reviewed the request from Mr. Gregory A. Johnson, 2848 Highway 10, to locate in a portion of an existing building and use for purpose of conducting a business of cleaning and repairing radiators. On 12/10/80, the Planning Commission made a motion to recommend to the City Council that a joint conditional use permit be issued for the property involved. The conditions for approval would include the existing area and frontage, curb cut, parking spaces, and setback conditions subject to reviewal of the use permit should problems arise.
