MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL February 23, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />Clerk Administrator Pauley noted that police <br />vehicles (two) had to be re -bid because the <br />award made to Iten Chevrolet was based on a 305 <br />V -8 engine and General Motors no longer produces <br />this type of engine. <br />MOTION: Hodges made a motion, seconded by Doty, <br />to authorize the re- bidding of the two police <br />vehicles for a V -8 engine in the 267 cubic inch <br />range. <br />Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that he had <br />contacted Dr. Christenson regarding a joint meeting <br />of the City Council and representatives of the <br />School Board to discuss special levies and state <br />aids. The Council agreed to the March 2nd date <br />at 7:00 P.M. in the Mounds View City Hall. <br />Mayor McCarty asked staff to contact all the cities <br />covered in the school district regarding attending <br />this meeting). <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by <br />Forslund to approve Resolution #1244 (resolution <br />authorizing transfer from contingency) and to dis- <br />pense with the reading. <br />Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Official Rose: <br />1. He invited the Council to a meeting to be <br />held on Thursday, February 26th, at 7:30 P.M. with <br />the Planning Commission and Park Commission to discuss <br />the park plan and :.ts possible adoption into the <br />Comprehensive Plan Update. Councilmembers Hodges <br />and Doty noted they would be able to attend. Mayor <br />McCarty noted that he would like to see a sentence <br />included which would clearly note that this plan <br />would not be implemented without the voters approval. <br />(Administrator Pauley suggesting putting this into <br />the implementation section). <br />2. He needs a signature from the Mayor for <br />the special assessment agreement received from Kraus/ <br />Anderson (approved via Resolution #1211), i.e. <br />assessment of old park property.
