Mounds View City Council January 10, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to authorize the expen- <br />diture of $550, to come from the water fund, for the <br />repair of the Well #2 drive shaft, with the contractor <br />being Robert Rode. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Director Johnson reported they have completed calcu- <br />lating the credits due on water meters for 1982, <br />involving 103 meters, with $1260.14 due in credits <br />and $54.95 due in payments. He stated that memos <br />will be sent with the 4th quarter billings, explain- <br />ing the situation. <br />Director Johnson reported he is in the process of <br />contacting Mr. Isberg with the latest comments from <br />the Council. Mayor McCarty stated they would like <br />his opinion back in time for the Council to review <br />before meeting with him. <br />Director Johnson reported the service work will <br />be started on Well #5 next week, and will take <br />approximately 3 -4 weeks. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had received a copy 10. Report of <br />of the contract for deed between D&M Investments, Attorney <br />Inc. and James A. Loosen, showing that Mr. Loosen <br />has purchased the property and become the equitable <br />owner as of January 3, 1983. He addded that due <br />to previous Council action, the license has been <br />transferred. <br />Attorney Meyers updated the Council on the Ramsey <br />County judicial system situation. He stated that <br />if the ultimate goal is to have all the courts <br />downtown, the City should take a stand on it, due <br />to the added expense and time involved for going <br />downtown. He stated they could also look into <br />having a local traffic citation bureau. <br />Councilmember Linke reported he had attended the <br />Festivities Commission meeting, and they are now <br />in the planning stages, with a fishing contest <br />scheduled for February 12 at Lakeside Park. <br />Councilmember Hankner had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had attended <br />the Planning Commission meeting and reviewed the <br />action taken by them at their January 5 meeting. <br />She reported they had asked for a clarification <br />on the year end report that is called for in <br />Chapter 32.07, and wanted to know if the Council <br />thought it was necessary, and if so, in what <br />manner they would like it presented. <br />Motion Carried <br />11.
