Mounds View City Council June 11, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied they have complied <br />in terms of a restaurant. He explained the restau- <br />rant code does not require they be operational in <br />order to be licensed. He stated they do have rest- <br />aurant equipment and a permit from the Ramsey County <br />Health Department. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table the approval <br />of the on -sale liquor license for Loose Ends On 10, <br />pending an opinion from the City Attorney relative <br />to the proper usage of that license in conjunction <br />with the serving of food. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to approve Item J, <br />minus Loose Ends On 10, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the first public hearing at 7:47 PM. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained the property <br />in question is presently operating as an import <br />auto shop. <br />Jim Vleck asked the intent of the rezoning. <br />Mayor McCarty explained it is an effort on the part <br />of the City to bring the zoning map and comprehensive <br />plan into conformance, He added the Comprehensive <br />Plan is not always consistent with the proposed <br />rezoning. <br />Peg Mountin, Chairman of the Planning Commission, <br />stated the property located at 2848 Highway 10 is <br />in compliance with the proposed land use map for <br />medium density residential use. <br />Ms. Schuldt questioned how this piece of property <br />could be downzoned, when the City couldn't down <br />zone Knollwood Green. <br />Mayor McCarty explained Knollwood Green was already <br />in compliance with the intended use and comprehensive <br />plan. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:50 PM. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to table the rezoning <br />of 2846 Highway 10 until such time as the Planning <br />Commission has the opportunity to readdress the <br />rezoning. <br />4 ayes <br />Motion Carried <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />7A. Public Hearing <br />Rezoning of <br />2848 Highway 10 <br />from B -3 to R-3 <br />nays Motion Carried <br />
