Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Mayor McCarty stated he was familiar with the problem <br />also, and he recommended getting a front end loader <br />over to the lot to level it off, as well as post with <br />"No Trespassing" signs. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that after the <br />City approved the plat for the applicant, the property <br />owner has not filed a petition to begin construction. <br />He also explained that signs would be very expensive <br />to purchase and recommended on checking on the status <br />of the project. <br />Bill Fritz, 8072 Long Lake Road, questioned the pur- <br />pose of the dirt being piled up by the ditch on Long <br />Lake Road north of Hillview <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley <br />excess from the MSA street <br />when a grader is available <br />will come out and level it <br />explained the fill is <br />improvement projects, and <br />from the County, they <br />off. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the next public hearing at 8:00 PM. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the process <br />used by Staff in preparing the 1985 budget. <br />Finance Director Brager reviewed the 1985 proposed <br />budget expenditures for all funds. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:17 PM. <br />Finance Director Brager advised that Staff had been <br />directed to prepare resolutions for approving the <br />budget and they were ready. <br />Mayor McCarty stated he was not certain it would <br />be wise to adopt the budget now as most of the <br />residents had not had an opportunity to review it, <br />and they do have until October 10 to approve it. <br />Finance Director Brager noted the the notice of <br />the public hearing was published on August 29. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she felt many months <br />had been spent on the budget already, and on two <br />occassions the Council had met to discuss the <br />budget, and Mayor McCarty had been asked to comment <br />on the budget but had not offered any. She <br />questioned if there was any area the Mayor had <br />questions on now. <br />Mayor McCarty replied he had no problem with the <br />budget but felt his job as Mayor was not to <br />September 10, 1984 <br />Page Two <br />5B.
