Mounds View City Council September 10, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />satisfy whims but to do duty to the City as a whole. <br />He stated that when he is ready to make a decision <br />on the budget, he will do so before the public. <br />Councilmember Hankner stated she felt this budget <br />is very good and the Council should act on it now. <br />She stated she does not feel the increase is a <br />burden, and at the beginning of each section of <br />the budget, Staff has done an excellent job of <br />publishing a policy statement. She added the <br />Council has had ample time to review it and <br />discuss it, plus they have made their meetings <br />know to the public. <br />Councilmember Linke asked Mr. Fritz if <br />he had any particular problems with the proposed <br />budget. <br />Mr. Fritz replied that <br />meetings he personally <br />budget was going to be <br />and he would like time <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked the reporter <br />from the New Brighton Bulletin to publish an <br />article regarding the budget and that copies <br />are available at City Hall for any resident who <br />would like to review it. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Doty to table any action <br />on the budget and place on the agenda for <br />September 24, with a public notice. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />at the past three Council <br />had not heard that the <br />discussed or acted on, <br />to take a look at it. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley asked that Resolution <br />No. 1791 be added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Blanchard to adopt Resolu- <br />tion No. 1791, appointing the 1984 water meter <br />readers, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Blanchard to approve the <br />consent agenda as presented and waive the reading <br />of the resolutions. <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
