Mounds View City Council March 11, 1985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated he would have to <br />check into the specifics of the payment to John <br />Johnson but it was most likely the MSA 1985 storm <br />sewer study or the Pinecrest development that Mr. <br />Johnson had worked on, He added that Mr. Johnson <br />would now be on an hourly basis for any further <br />work. He also explained the payment to Short <br />Elliott- Hendrickson was being made after being <br />reimbursed by the developer, and the City was <br />merely forwarding payment on. He added the <br />Mermaid payment was most likely in conjunction with <br />the winter carnival events that had taken place <br />there, but he would check for specific details. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to approve Reso- <br />lution No. 1876, Item F on the consent agenda, and <br />waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner asked the hourly rate that was <br />proposed for the community service officer. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley replied it was what was provided <br />for in the 1985 budget. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to authorize the <br />hiring of Mary Kay Thoreson for the position of <br />Community Service Officer to begin on or about <br />March 18, 1985, and limited to the hourly amount in <br />the 1985 budget. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Linke reviewed the purposed of proposed Reso- <br />lution No. 1875, which i; requesting the prohibition <br />of semi trailer truck traffic on 85th Avenue /County <br />Road J upon completion of Phase I or total ._^nstruction <br />of Highway 610. He added that he hopes Blaine and <br />Spring Lake Park will join in in supporting this. <br />Councilmember Quick questioned whether the terminology <br />"large trucks" was descriptive enough in the resolution. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that it was best <br />worded that way and left to the County to make the <br />determination. <br />Motion /Second: Linke /Quick to approve Resoluticn No. <br />T875, requesting prohibition of semi trailer truck <br />traffic on 85th Avenue /County Road J, and waive the <br />reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
