Mounds View City Council January 26, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reviewed the purpose of <br />proposed Ordinance No. 417. <br />Motion: Wuori to table action on this ordinance <br />until the findings of the Gunner Isberg study are <br />complete. <br />The motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Cour: 1member Wuori stated that Ordinance No. 416, <br />which is very similar in the scope of private property <br />usage, was tabled, and she felt the sme guidelines <br />should apply to this ordinance also. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that Ordinance <br />No. 416 concerns the updating of non conforming <br />driveways. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Quick to have the second <br />reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 417, amending <br />Chapter 81 of the Mounds View municipal code entitled <br />"Parking" by adding Section 81.03, "Vehicle for Sale <br />Parking and waive the reading. <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Councilmember <br />Mayor Linke <br />Hankner aye <br />Quick aye <br />Blanchard aye <br />Wuori nay <br />aye <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated the she interprets <br />this ordinance as that it does not prohibit a for <br />$ale sign on a car when it is on their own personal <br />property, as long as it is on a driveway. She added <br />this would benefit other areas of the City also, <br />where people are parking them alongside the road, and <br />they are starting to look like used car lots. <br />Mr. Frits asked if the ordinance applied to automobiles <br />only, or if it applies to trucks, boats and so forth. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied it applies to motor <br />vehicles and read the definition of a motor vehicle. <br />Director Thatcher had no report. <br />12. 2nd Reading and <br />Adoption of <br />Ordinance No. 41 <br />Motion Failed <br />Motion Carried <br />13.
