Mounds View City Council May 26, 1987 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />down the highway is a better location. She added that <br />this site is part of the District 6 and 12 study. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated the recommendation <br />from the Planning Commission calls for a public hearing <br />one year after operation to consider whether or not to <br />continue 24 hours of operation, and they could also <br />address the traffic issues at that time. <br />Mr. Filippi stated Amoco Oil is very willing to work <br />with the City, but he pointed out that since this would <br />be a sizeable investment, Amoco would be very concerned <br />about having the conditional use permit revoked after <br />the first year, so they would do their best to solve <br />any problems as they would occur. <br />Councilmember Hankner read a list of eight criteria <br />from Chapter 40 that the Council must feel has been met <br />before granting a conditional use permit, and she would <br />like more time to study the proposal, as she feels this <br />is an unsafe situation. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Blanchard to table this item <br />until June 22, 1987. <br />4 ayes 1 nay <br />:=Mayor Linke voted against the motion, stating the request <br />has been before the Council for some time and he feels <br />ample time has been taken on it already. <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened the <br />second public hearing at 7:36 PM. <br />Howard Thorson, of Dailey Homes stated they are <br />requesting to subdivide four lots into 3, to develop <br />twin homes. He added the plan is the same one that <br />was approved by the Council three years ago, and they <br />are ready to go ahead with it now. <br />Mayor Linke asked the status of the drainage ditch, <br />which had been brought up earlier in the meeting. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied <br />with it, and he could look into it <br />Mr. Winiecki stated his concern is <br />not being maintained. <br />Cou icilmember Hankner asked who has <br />the ditch, the County or City? <br />he is not familiar <br />with the engineer. <br />that the ditch is <br />jurisdiction over <br />Motion Carried <br />8.
