gm Finance Director Brager reviewed the 1988 budgeted <br />IRV expenditures. He explained the budget would be a <br />maintenance budget, which does not change or increase <br />services, 'but rather maintains them, and that the City <br />has not found a 'way to keep the cost the same, and it <br />has increased each year. He stated the proposed budget <br />represents a 6.2% increase over 1987. <br />Finance Director Brager explained the Council has <br />budgeted $135,000 this year to pursue the City's law <br />suit against Williams Pipeline. He also reviewed <br />the 1988 budgeted revenues, and stated there would be <br />no increase in sewer or water rates, which have remained <br />the same for three years now. He added property taxes <br />will increase 3.2 mills over 1987, for the City's <br />portion of the property tax. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing and reopened the <br />regular meeting at 7:16 PM. <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened the <br />next public hearing at 7:16 PM. <br />Finance Director Brager reported Staff has exhausted <br />the methods of collecting delinquent utility bills, <br />and they are now asking that these be levied to the <br />individuals over a one year period. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing and reopened the <br />regular meeting at 7:17 PM. <br />September 28 <br />Page Two <br />7.
