Mounds View City Council May 9, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />NCouncilmember Hankner questioned if there was a reason <br />why the wetland ordinance issues were not included in <br />the resolution adopted by the Planning Commission, <br />denying the request. <br />City Planner Herman explained it was their intention <br />to only consider the variances, since that is what they <br />are charged with, and since they were not granting the <br />variances, there was no need for them to address the <br />other issues. <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing and reopened the <br />regular meeting at 7:59 PM. <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion explained there have <br />been problems with cars parking along Ardan Avenue, <br />which is the front door to Groveland Park, and they <br />are requesting the two hour parking limitation signs <br />to prevent people from parking there all day or night. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Wuori to authorize the placement <br />of "Two Ho•:ir Parking Only" signs on the north side of <br />Ardan Avenue between Fairchild and Groveland Road. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion explained the damage 11. Authorize <br />that was done to the theater stage floor at Irondale Placement of <br />High School during the 1987 production of "Mame" by Funds in Joint <br />the Mounds View Community Theater. She stated the Savings Account <br />floor is 18 years old and needs replacement, and it for Irondale <br />has been agreed between the School District and City High School <br />to place $950, which would be the cost of repairing Theater Stage <br />the damage in a joint savings account for the future Floor <br />-pair or replacement of the floor. She added work <br />_11 have to be done to raise the additional funds <br />needed. She added the $950 would come from the <br />recreation fund. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to authorize the <br />placement of $950.00 from the recreation fund, in a <br />savings account under the joint signature of the <br />City of Mounds View and District 621 for the repair/ <br />replacement of the Irondale High School theater <br />stage floor. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke noted the $950 replacement cost does not <br />:ake in mind a reduction for the age of the floor. <br />10. Authorize <br />Placement of <br />"Two Hour <br />Parking Only" <br />Signs on <br />Ardan Avenue <br />
