Mounds View City Council June 27, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />,Representative Knuth updated the Council on the land <br />transfer which had taken place at County Road H and <br />Highway 10, which will 1 )W realignment of Old Highway <br />8 for a smoother flow r. traffic and to assist with <br />conjestion in that area. He also updated the Council <br />on pipeline legislation, as well as reporting there is <br />no further study or action planned for the airport. <br />Representative Voss reported he had been closely <br />involved with the tax bill, and not only will City <br />government do well, but the residents will also, <br />with nearly $1.8 million in credit Approved for the <br />next biennium. He also reported he has not received <br />a noise complaint for the airport in the past year, <br />as a result of the successful movement of the runways <br />one -half mile further from the City, and with the <br />limitation of the airport as a minor airport. He <br />reported the Highway 10 relocation should be completed <br />this fall, which should relieve congestion for residents <br />in the area. <br />Councilmember Hankner informed the Senator and Represen- <br />tatives that the Council will be meeting with the school <br />district superintendent and business manager the evening <br />of June 30, to get a better understanding of their <br />budgeting proces. She invited them to join the meeting, <br />and stated other Cities had been invited also. <br />Mayor Linke and the Council thanked Senator Novak and <br />Representatives Knuth and Voss for their time with the <br />Council. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to approve the May 23, <br />1988 minutes as amended. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: Wuori /Hankner to approve the June 13, <br />1988 minutes as presented. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and opened the <br />first public hearing at 7:50 PM. <br />City Planner Herman explained the purpose of proposed <br />Ordinance No. 442, which combines garages and accessory <br />buildings under permitted uses, and the rational for <br />_„combining them. <br />There were no comments or questions from the audience, <br />so Mayor Linke closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 7:54 PM. <br />6.
