Mounds View City Council September 26, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />Aft Pauley read proposed Resolution <br />No. 2388. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Blanchard to approve Resolution <br />No. 2388, approving payment of $451,201 to Everest <br />Development Ltd. for land buy -down of Lot 1, Block 1 <br />of the Mounds View Business Park. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley reported he and the City <br />Managers of Blaine and Spring Lake Park had been in <br />negotiations with the Fire Chief for the past three <br />months, and he feels the proposal before the Council <br />is acceptable. He explained Chief Fagerstrom had <br />proposed an annuity program for new firefighters, due <br />to problems experienced in recruiting and retaining <br />them, but it was agreed the issue would be discussed <br />between now and the 1990 budget for possible imple- <br />mentation later. <br />Motion /Second: Hankner /Quick to approve the 1989 <br />Fire Department Budget as submitted by Fire Chief <br />Fagerstrom in his memorandum dated September 16, <br />1988. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained the public 14.
