Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Hankner to approve the <br />no parking zone on the south side of Hillview Road <br />between Greenwood Road and Long Lake Road, with the <br />understanding that if there is a problem, it will <br />be rescinded. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Park and Rec Director Saarion explained 101 letters <br />were sent out, asking for input on this proposal, <br />and four phone calls were received back, with <br />positive feedback. <br />Motion /Second: Quick /Wuori to approve the contract <br />by Environmental Specialists for provision of a <br />proposal for the management of Silver View Park <br />pond at a cost of $4,120, to be funded from the <br />contingency fund. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner asked that this be forwarded <br />to the Environmental Quality Task Force. Park <br />Director Saarion explained a copy of the proposal <br />had gone to them, and they were asked for their <br />comments. She stated she would send it again. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley stated Public Works <br />Director Minetor could keep in touch with them and <br />report back. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley recommended this item <br />be tabled to the November 21 agenda session, since <br />Finance Director Brager was not present. <br />It was agreed to discuss it on November 21, and <br />the Council requested copies of the current policy <br />also. <br />Clerk Administrator Pauley reported he would be <br />attending the League of Minnesota Cities conference <br />this Wednesday and would like to take a position <br />against exempting cities from the one -call system. <br />It was the concensus of the Council that that was <br />alright. <br />Motion Carried <br />November 14, 1988 <br />Page Six <br />12.
