Page 9 <br />November 13, 1995 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />MOTIONlSECOND: Trude/Blanchard to approve the Joint Powers Agreement between the cities of <br />Mounds View and New Brighton. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />D. Consideration of Resolution No. 4835, Approving Reclassification of Community Development <br />Coordinator. <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that this is per the Organizational Review Plan that <br />was discussed in 1994 to reclassify the Community Development Coordinator position into a <br />Community Development Director, with the recommendation that it be effective January 1, 1996, and <br />commence at Step i, go to Step 2 after six months, Step 3 after one year, Step 4 after 2 years and Step <br />5 after three years. <br />Ms. Trude stated she has had the pleasure of working with Mr. Harrington, as the council liaison to the <br />Planning Commission and she knows that they appreciate the efforts that he puts into his job. They <br />have seen some real progress in the community in the past two years under his direction. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to approve Resolution 4835, Approving the Reclassification of the <br />Community Development Coordinator. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />E. Resolution No. 4845, Establishing Compensation of the Interim City Administrator. <br />Mayor Linke noted that Mr. Harrington will be assuming Ms. Orduno's responsibilitiesuntil such time <br />as a new City Administrator is hired. This resolution will includes salary compensation of an <br />additional $1,000 per month and a $200 per month car allowance while he serves as Interim City <br />Administrator. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to approve Resolution No. 4845, Establishing Compensation of <br />the Interim City Administrator. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />F. Consideration of Appointing Interim Finance Coordinator and Setting Compensation. <br />Samantha Orduno explained that the council needs to determine an Interim Finance Coordinator <br />position and set compensation accordingly. The resolution outlines the conditions of that re- <br />classification, creates Interim Finance Coordinator position and appoints Mary Tatarek to this position <br />at a compensation of an additional $750.00 per month to her base pay. Her position as Accountant and <br />Interim Finance Coordinator will be reevaluated subsequent to the new City Administrator being hired <br />where a more permanent re-classification will be made consistent with the new Administrator's <br />structure of the Finance Department. The compensation will be effective November 13, 1995 and will <br />terminate upon the commencement of employment of a new Finance Director. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to approve Resolution No. 4840, Approving Mary Tatarek as <br />Interim Finance Coordinator and Approving Interim Compensation. <br />
