Page 9 November 13, 1995 Mounds View City Council MOTIONlSECOND: Trude/Blanchard to approve the Joint Powers Agreement between the cities of Mounds View and New Brighton. VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried D. Consideration of Resolution No. 4835, Approving Reclassification of Community Development Coordinator. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that this is per the Organizational Review Plan that was discussed in 1994 to reclassify the Community Development Coordinator position into a Community Development Director, with the recommendation that it be effective January 1, 1996, and commence at Step i, go to Step 2 after six months, Step 3 after one year, Step 4 after 2 years and Step 5 after three years. Ms. Trude stated she has had the pleasure of working with Mr. Harrington, as the council liaison to the Planning Commission and she knows that they appreciate the efforts that he puts into his job. They have seen some real progress in the community in the past two years under his direction. MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to approve Resolution 4835, Approving the Reclassification of the Community Development Coordinator. VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried E. Resolution No. 4845, Establishing Compensation of the Interim City Administrator. Mayor Linke noted that Mr. Harrington will be assuming Ms. Orduno's responsibilitiesuntil such time as a new City Administrator is hired. This resolution will includes salary compensation of an additional $1,000 per month and a $200 per month car allowance while he serves as Interim City Administrator. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to approve Resolution No. 4845, Establishing Compensation of the Interim City Administrator. VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried F. Consideration of Appointing Interim Finance Coordinator and Setting Compensation. Samantha Orduno explained that the council needs to determine an Interim Finance Coordinator position and set compensation accordingly. The resolution outlines the conditions of that re- classification, creates Interim Finance Coordinator position and appoints Mary Tatarek to this position at a compensation of an additional $750.00 per month to her base pay. Her position as Accountant and Interim Finance Coordinator will be reevaluated subsequent to the new City Administrator being hired where a more permanent re-classification will be made consistent with the new Administrator's structure of the Finance Department. The compensation will be effective November 13, 1995 and will terminate upon the commencement of employment of a new Finance Director. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to approve Resolution No. 4840, Approving Mary Tatarek as Interim Finance Coordinator and Approving Interim Compensation.
