A iotal of I6 new tvvo-tevel <br />renial towrzhomes will be created on the now vacant properties just south of the existing Red Oak <br />Apartments, which will be cnmpleiely rehabilitated �.s a part of this project. New hipped-styte <br />roofs and new siding wilI b� added to the apariment buiidings to rt�atci� the design of #he proposed <br />townhames. �J°ith ihe existing 40 apartment units, this project will he comprised of 56 dwellin�s <br />on 3.78 acres for a. density of 15.0 dweilings per acre. Each of the townhause wuts will have an <br />attached single-s�all garage and the apartments will have 41 new gaxages io replace the existing <br />garages. Tlus proje�t do�s nat require a rezoning. Multi-fa.mily dweiling struc�ures containiiig six <br />or fewer dwelling units are an allowed use in the R-3, �eiedium Density �.tesidential I�isfirici. <br />The dev�lopment pian prepared by the applicacii incIudes both the e�sting �ted Oak ?,partm�nts <br />and ihe new tawnhomes because chac�ges are being made to ihe layout of the R�d Oais <br />Apartm�nts as part of this proposal. The Plaxi►1ir�g Commission may be aware that there has been <br />sorne discussion with City CounciI or� how this praject will b� financed and wlaether the Clty is <br />interested in selling the land �t the comer of Easiwood and I-��hway 10 to be�ome � part of this <br />proj�ct.
