The addition of the financial section. <br />This came after the review of the city- <br />administrator and his direction to add <br />this section for planning purposes. <br />b.) T:.a addition of [he Silver View Park <br />acquisition as a number "1" priority. <br />This was necessary for the LAWCON appli- <br />cation - requesting monies for acquisition <br />in 1976-77. <br />He continued by sugges[ing Chat it may be necessary <br />to provide some matching funda if LAWCON money were <br />received. He thought this money could be charged to <br />[he paxk fund. A discuasion ensued. <br />Motion by Co�mnissioner Coplin and seconded by Commission- <br />er Peterson to approve the Five Year Plan as revised, <br />and to recommend to the City Council that this plan <br />be adop[ed as the Parks and Recreation Five Year Capital <br />Improvemen[ Program for Mounds View. <br />Position/ The Director reported [hat the City Council requested <br />Clasaifica[ion the park and recreation department staff to develop <br />Salary Plan a position classification and salary plan for their <br />part-[ime employees. <br />Therefore a metropolitan study was conduc[ed which <br />resulted in the plan being presented far approval. <br />Commissioners were also informed that this plan would <br />be revised each year in Augus[. A discussion followed. <br />Motion by Commissioner Pe[erson and seconded by Com- <br />missioner Haake to approve the Position Classification <br />and Salary Plan as presented and reco�ended to the <br />City Council that this be adop[ed. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Woodcrest As requested at the Sanuary 22, 1976 meeting the top <br />Playground two styles of wood play structures, as preferred and <br />Equipment determined by Commissioners and s[aff, were presented <br />in model foxm and price. A discussion and evaluation <br />followed. <br />Motion by Commissioner Coplin and seconded by Co�ission- <br />er Haake to put Game Time wood play struc[ures ou[ on <br />bid, The motion passed unanimously. <br />Co�issioners also desired to have the Parks and Rec- <br />reation Department provide wood structures, which <br />could be made less expensive in house, and existing <br />metal play equipment, which could be blended in by <br />refinishing. <br />
