-2- May 10, 1978
Gtoveland Park - 4.1 acres - developed .
Groveland Yark is loca[ed at Groveland Road and Ardan Avenue. Existing '-
facilities include a ball field, tot lot and park shelter building.
There presently ie no drainage problem involving Cro-lan3 Park.
Hillviev Park - 3.2 acres - developed
Hillview Park is located at the intersection of Hillview Road and Long
Lake Road. Existing development at Hillview consists oF a tot lot,
hockey rink with lighting, ball field and ehelter building.
The preaent drainaga problem at Hillview is [wofold, first the Eastern
half of Che park is low ].and and there is a real problem with standing
water. Secondly we have found after making a temporary dzainage swail
that there really is no place for the water to go as [he pipe along
Hillviea is presently not adequate to handle the additional runoff.
Lakeside Park - 11.0 acres - developed
Lakeaide Park is a joint venture betwee Spring Lake Park and hbunds View
and is located at the intersection of Hillview Road and Pleasant VSew Drive.
The park presen[ly is developed with 2 ball fields, 2 tennis coutts, a
swimming beach, beach house, black top parking lot tot lot and trailway
system.
There presently is no major water pzoblem at Lakeside Park in spite of
the tiao large impervious surface areas.
Lambert Park - 3.2 acres - developed
Lnmbert Park is :ocated at the corner of Lambert Avenue and Jackson Drive.
Lambert Park presently has a ligh[ed hockey rink, a ball field and park
shel'r.er building.
Lambert Park presently has one of our most serious water problems at this
t.i. We have standing water each apring in right field of the ball field
and south of the existing park shelter building. In addition the etozm
sewer pipe rms in a north-south direction through the west end of the pack.
Th1s storm sewer presently creates a maintenance hazard for mowing as well
as an aesthetic problem. The pipe has been placed too shallow and has
frozen up in the past as well as filling up witti sand making it a continual
maintenance problem.
Oakwood Park - 2.4 acres - developed
Oakwood Park is located at die intersection of Oakwood Drive and Quincy
Stree[. The present facilities .Lnclude one ball field, some old pluyground
equipment and a shelter building.
11ere presently is standing watec each year at Oakwood on [he north edge, p
but that is because oF a grading problem rather than an inadequate atorm
sewer system.
