-2- Richard Kaiser, Jaycees President, requested tliat communications remain open between the Commission and Jaycees relative to Ardan Park ,..,,. development. {Vhite Oak Home- Director Ander�nn reviewed the 1Y}lite Oak Home- owners Assoc. owners Association Yrojeci as 1e�,�rrcia ,r. t.._ Project Commission packets. Director Anderson expressed concerns for possible problems with the future development of Random Park, city liability, current holding pond usage, and state, county and city requirements were also concerns of staff. Mr. Foster explained that the Association is required to obtain city approval of the project before the Rice Creek Watershed Distr'sct will even consider the project. After discussion of the proposal as reviewed in the Commission packets, the Commission raised several questions. 1. What is the City's liability?, 2. Will the water table ra'sse in the area around Random Park?, 3. Are tliere alternative methods?, 4. Has a topography study been done?, 5. Can the process be spread out over time?, 6. How long will the draining last?, 7. Have there been ar�y pre- cidents?, 8. Has there been a soil test completed?, 9, iYill an environmental impact statement be needad?, 10. What is the best time to da this project?� ' 11. Has the city a title on Random Park?, 12. What is the reaction of the surrounding homeowners? and 13. Are there alternative dumping sites? After long discussion it was agreed that additional information is necessary. The Commission expressad concern for the project dumping at Random Park but was receptive to the Silver View Park dumping site. Motion was made by Commissioner Kuluvar to table the issue until further research nnd information can be formulated on the Random Park titlo, Environ- mental Impact Report, nature of the sediment, its size and type, the impact on the storm sewar system and further study into the Silver Viow dumping site. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Fedot'. Tha motion passed unanimously.
