- 3- <br />Winter Skating Director Anderson reviewed the Winter Skating Poiicy <br />Policy Manual Manual. Commissioner Fedor made a motion to accept the <br />Policy Manual as read. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Weflen. The motion passed unanimously. <br />4 qyes <br />0 Nays <br />Commissioner Linke suggested that the light fixtures at <br />Greenfield rink be tilted to include the pleasure skating <br />rink. <br />Director Anderson informed the Commissian that Greenfield <br />hockey rink has declared time for pleasure skating only <br />on Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. <br />Also> in the future, the department may concentrate on the <br />development and maintenance of tvo major hockey rinks <br />instead of the four rinks> thereby providing Lake Region <br />Hockey with 2 game rinks and 4 practice rinks. <br />Winter/Spring Program Supervisor Kvalheim reviewed the 1979 recreation <br />Brochure programs for Winter and Spring. <br />Park and Open Director Anderson reviewed the concept and time schedule <br />Space Plan of a community Park and Open Space Plan. The commission <br />agreed that the formatian and implementation of such a <br />plan would definitely be of benefit to the camnunity. It <br />was therefore agreed that at the February Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Commission meeting> 3 members would be appointed te <br />the sub-comnittee. Tfie development of a survey is the <br />first agenda task. <br />Staff Report Director Anderson reviewed the staff report. <br />Comnissioner Linke reporEed that Lakeside Park Commission <br />has acquired a new fiberglass dock, 25 feet long, for the <br />Lakeside swimning beach. Alsa, a new picnic shelter will be <br />available at Lakeside Park this sumner. <br />Ra�ey County Parks Commission will meet February 79 to <br />decide on the Ramsey County acquisition of Lakeside Park. <br />Adjournment Comnissioner Linke made a motion to adjourn the meeting. <br />Comm ssioner Fedor seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. <br />4 qyes <br />0 Nays <br />
