I am sure each of you have your oxn specific questions concern-
ing the development of the comprehensive plan and the relationship between
the planning firm and the Comanission, and I eiould strongiy encourage you to
ask them following the firm's presentations.
To assist you with this process, I have developed the fotlowing questions
that may be of interest to the Commiss9on:
7. What do you invision the role of the consultant firm between the:
a. Staff
b. Planning Commission
c. City Council
2. What basic design concepts would your firm emptoy to kezp both main-
tenance and vandalism costs down in the developrent of the Mounds
View park system?
3. Has your firm had any direct experierce in working rith park refer-
endums, if yes, vihat is your success ratio?
4. What new trends or programs do you foresee the Parks and Recreatian
profession becoming involved in that ve should be planning for now?
5. Bath tit athletic corrp7exes and undergrouod irrigation systems have
been under serious scrutiny during the past fiv= years because of the
Smpending ener9y crunch. Do you have any thoughts of relationship of
direct benefit to energy consumption regarding lit facilities and
irrigation systems.
Once agatn, these are merely potentiat questions and I would encourage you to
raise your concerns first.
