The developer has stated that he is willing to develop the pond to a 2- 3' level at a tost not to ezteed 5250,000. Staff is recoim�ending that an additional 48,000 cuDic yards of fill be removed at the developers expense. As this is a fairly complex issue staff will be presenting a verbal report with sup- porting visual material to 6etfee• define the issues at hand on Thursday. The second consideration involved in the planning process to date is L.A.W.C.O.N. applications for phase 2 development are due on May 2. The impact of this issue centers around the fact that the City will be in a better position to be funded if the issue of park re-location were,finalized prior to final review �vhSch is scheduled for the first week in June. As a final note it should be remen�bered that construction of the pond would not comrence until the winter of 1981 at the earliest which means general construc- tion of the park site will be delayed until Spring, 1981.
