Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes <br />2/26/81 Page 3 . . <br />3. The Lakeside Park Commission would serve <br />in an advisory capacity C� the two municipalitie <br />and provide direction on a policy oriented <br />basis with formal work directive coming from <br />the City Councils of each respective City. <br />4. The City of Mounds View would serve as the <br />Fiscal agent with the City Finance Director <br />responsible for the management of the Lakeside <br />Park Fund. <br />A general discussion followed by the Cotmnission <br />regarding Lakeside Park, a sampling of the Commis- <br />sioners concerns are as follows: <br />1. Chairman Burmeister feLt that we should strive <br />to keep the Lakeside Park beach program <br />open even if we needed to retrench in some <br />areas; i.e.concessions, special events, etc. <br />2. Commissioner Scott expressed some concern re- <br />garding the patrolling of the area by the <br />respective City Police Departments <br />3. Co�nissioner Fedor questioned the justification <br />for opening Lakeside Park in its entirety. <br />4. Co�nissioner Scott felt that with the increase <br />in energy costs, we would continue to see a <br />greater need for local park and recreation <br />facilities. <br />Commissioner Linke made a motion, seconded by . <br />Commissioner Scott to direct staff to proceed with � <br />
