<br />Principal Working Relationships: <br />Mayor <br />City Council <br />Department heads <br />Staff <br />City Residents and Business People <br />Other Clerk-Administrators and City Managers <br />Media <br />City Attorney(s) <br />PERIPHERAL DUTIES: <br />Attends professional development workshops and conferences to keep abreast of <br />trends and development in the field of Cit Administration. <br />Keeps up to date on changes to Minnesota Statutes that affect the City of Mounds <br />View and/or the day to day operations of the City government <br />• <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Education and Experience: <br />(A) Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration, business Administration or <br />related field; <br />(B) 3 years municipal management experience. <br />(C) Advanced degree or equivalent desirable. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND A8LlTIES <br />(A) Considerable knowledge of modern policies and practices of public administration; <br />working knowledge of municipal finance, human resources, public works, public <br />safety, and communication development. <br />(B) Skill in preparing and administering municipal budgets; skill in planning, directing <br />and administering municipal programs; skill in operating the listed tools and <br />equipment; <br />(C) Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports; ability to carry out assigned <br />projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and 'in <br />writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with <br />employees, sit officials and the public; ability to efficiently and effectively administer <br />a municipal government. <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />None. <br />• <br />
