• • Serves as Deputy Clerk in supervising ofi all local elections and performs or delegates <br />associated duties in accordance with the City Charter and with other prescribed laws and <br />regulations. <br />PERIPHERAL DUTIES <br />• Assists the City Administrator with any necessary tasks. <br />Performs copying, photography, printing, collating and bindery operations, <br />• Coordinates travel plans for department and Council. <br />• Serves as backup cashier including receipting of various payments and posting monies <br />to appropriate accounts. <br />• Coordinates activities with recording secretary as necessary. <br />• Other duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education and Experience <br />(A) Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Legal, <br />Management or equivalent; and <br />{B) Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience, or any equivalent <br />combination of related education and experience. <br />DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />Education and Experience <br />(A) Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, <br />Business Administration, Human Resources or closely related field; and <br />(B) Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, <br />with additional work experience substituting for the required. <br />Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: <br />(A) Proficient in the usage of work processing software, typing speed of 60 wpm, working <br />knowledge of computers and data processing; working knowledge of modern office <br />practices and procedures. <br />(B) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. <br />(C) Ability to effectively meet and deaf with the public; ability to communicate effectively <br />verbally and in writing, ability to handle stressful situations. <br />(D) Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. <br />(E) Ability to accurately record and maintain records; ability to establish and maintain <br />effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and maintain effective <br />working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments and <br />officials. <br />(F) Work knowledge of the principles and practices of modern publish administration. <br />TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED <br />Phone switchboard, mainframe computer terminal, personal computer including word <br />processing software; copy machine; postage machine; fax machine; base radio; calculator. <br />• <br />
