Mounds View City Council May 13, 2013 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty welcomed the new Police Officers to the City of Mounds View and thanked them <br />for their commitment to the City. <br /> <br /> B. Proclamation Recognizing May 12 – May 18, 2013 as “National Police <br />Week.” <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty read a proclamation in full declaring May 12-May 18, 2013 as National Police <br />Week in the City of Mounds View. He thanked the Police Officers serving the City of Mounds <br />View for their dedicated service. A round of applause was offered by all present. <br /> <br /> C. Proclamation Recognizing May 19 – May 25, 2013 as “National Public <br />Works Week.” <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty read a proclamation in full declaring May 19-May 25, 2013 as National Public <br />Works week in the City of Mounds View. He thanked the Public Works Department for their <br />work behind the scenes and for keeping this community running. A round of applause was <br />offered by all present. <br /> <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing – On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License Renewals: <br />1. Resolution 8093, a Resolution to Consider Approval of an On-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for Moe’s, located at 2400 County Highway <br />10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated Moe’s has not submitted their on-sale intoxicating <br />liquor license application paperwork or fees. Staff noted the paperwork deadline was May 8, <br />2013. She has been in contact with representatives for Moe’s and was assured the paperwork <br />would be submitted by next week. For that reason, Staff recommended the public hearing be <br />continued to the May 28, 2013 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:19 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Continue the Public Hearing on the On-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for Moe’s to the May 28, 2013 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Resolution 8094, a Resolution to Consider Approval of an On-Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License for The Mermaid, located at 2200 County <br />Highway 10. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that The Mermaid has submitted all necessary <br />paperwork and fees for their on-sale intoxicating liquor license. She noted property taxes and <br />utilities were current for this property. She indicated the liquor license approval would be
