City Administrator Ericson explained the group was aware <br />of the hours of operation for the Community Center and had no objections. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8312, <br />Approving a Lease Agreement with Ebenezer Management Services for Office Space in the <br />Mounds View Community Center. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />G. Resolution 8314, Approving a Construction Contract with Stonebrook Fence, <br />Inc. for the Installation of a Perimeter Fence Around Municipal Well No. 4. <br /> <br />Project Coordinator Stenglein stated Well No. 4 was the only well house in the City without a <br />perimeter fence. This building has sustained vandalism in the past and for this reason, staff was <br />recommending a six foot perimeter fence be installed. He reported the City received bids for the <br />fence from six qualified vendors and the low bid was submitted by Stonebrook Fence in the <br />amount of $9,250. He reported that $10,070 was available in the budget to cover this expense. <br />Staff recommended the Council approve a construction contract with a 10% contingency with <br />Stonebrook Fence for the installation of a perimeter fence around Municipal Well No. 4. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller asked what material would be used for the fence. Project Coordinator <br />Stenglein commented the fence would be a nine gauge chain link fence with a 12 foot dual swing <br />gate at the entrance. <br /> <br />Mayor Fl aherty questioned the length of the fence that would be needed. Project Coordinator <br />Stenglein reported the contract would provide the City with 500 linear feet of fencing. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty inquired if Well House No. 4 was operational. Project Coordinator Stenglein <br />explained that this well house was not operational, but staff recommended the infrastructure be <br />protected and maintained. Public Works Director DeBar stated Well House No. 4 was an <br />emergency well as it has had issues with Radium in the past. He explained that it would cost less <br />for the City to keep this well in place than to drill another. For that reason, staff was <br />recommending Well House No. 4 remain as is. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller.
