Resolution 8231, Approving the Release of Resolution 5541B and <br />Development Agreement No. 01-124 between the City of Mounds View and <br />Minnesota Institute of Public Health. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller stated that in 2001, the Minnesota Institute of Public Health <br />constructed a building at 2720 Highway 10 and operated at this location for 12 years. In <br />December of 2012 the building was vacated. She indicated the building has since been on the <br />market and would change ownership in the next several weeks. The new owner has requested <br />that the City release the Resolution and Development Agreement on the property. Staff had no <br />issues with the request and recommended the Council proceed with approving the release of <br />resolution and development agreement between the City of Mounds View and the Minnesota <br />Institute of Public Health. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. Resolution 8232, Approving the Purchase of a Snow Plow from Crysteel <br />Truck Equipment. <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase of a snowplow <br />from Crysteel truck equipment. He described how the eight-foot plow would be used by the <br />Public Works Department noting the cost was $5,699. He reported staff had budgeted $6,350 for <br />the expense. He recommended the Council approve the expense for the snowplow. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if this plow would expand the City’s capacity for snow <br />removal. Public Works Supervisor Peterson stated this was the case. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller noted a change on the Resolution stating the plow should be 8 feet and <br />not 8 inches. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn questioned if the City would be charged sales tax for the purchase. <br />Finance Director Beer reported the City would not be charged sales tax for the eight-foot plow. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause.
