He reported Morris
Leatherman has drafted a survey for this work and the survey would be conducted the first week
of December. It was noted that updates to the questions were made based on the feedback
provided by the Council at their November 9th meeting. Staff recommended the Council
authorize Morris Leatherman to conduct a telephone survey in Mounds View relating to
organized collection.

Council Member Mueller asked if the number of questions would be reduced. City
Administrator Ericson commented that the survey takers would not be reading all of the
questions but rather would be circling the response provided by the resident.

Council Member Mueller was interested in learning if residents were interested in selecting their
own service provider and asked if Question 6 could be revised. City Administrator Ericson
believed that Question 7 would allow residents to expand on their feelings regarding this topic.

Mayor Flaherty anticipated that Question 7 was the most important within the survey.
