To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8367, <br />Approving Transfers Between Funds for 2014. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller commented the transfers between funds were a housekeeping issue <br />handled by the Council each January. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 8368, Rescinding Resolution 8366 and Reapproving the ESP for <br />the Community Center, City Hall and Trail Lights. <br /> <br />Acting Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council rescind Resolution 8366 and <br />reapprove the Energy Savings Program for the Community Center, City Hall and trail lights. He <br />provided further comment on the City’s energy needs at City Hall and the Community Center. <br />He explained that he reviewed the ESP contract with the Finance Director and an error was <br />found. For this reason, Staff requested reapproval of the Energy Savings Program. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller noted the Council received a revised Resolution from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs discussed the revised Resolution noting the financing of the program with <br />Trane was being addressed by staff. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull questioned how much money the City would be saving on energy through <br />the Energy Savings Program. Finance Director Beer indicated the City would be saving roughly <br />$87,000 per year over the next 11 years. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller asked where the solar panels would be installed. Acting Public Works <br />Director Peterson reported one unit of solar panels would be installed on City Hall and another <br />unit would be installed on the Community Center. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller recommended staff document the energy savings measures that the City <br />was taking for the Green Cities program. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Revised Resolution <br />8368, Rescinding Resolution 8366 and Reapproving the ESP for the Community Center, City <br />Hall and Trail Lights. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn believed the steps the City was taking to be more energy efficient was a <br />great example for the community. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8369, Approving the Purchase of a Tymco 500X Street Sweeper. <br />
