Resolution 8456 Closing the DARE Special Revenue Fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty requested further information on this item. Finance Director Beer stated a <br />separate account was still being allocated within the General Fund for DARE funds. He <br />commented that to date in 2015, the City has received $93 for the DARE fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned how the City used the DARE funds. Police Chief Kinney reported <br />these funds were used to purchase items for the DARE course. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty asked if the City should disband this fund. Finance Director Beer explained this <br />was the recommendation of staff. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8456 <br />Closing the DARE Special Revenue Fund. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported she attended the League of Minnesota Cities presentation at the <br />Maplewood Police Department last Thursday. She provided further comment on the tour she <br />took of the new facility. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn noted she attended the Music of the Night at Irondale High School on <br />Saturday evening. <br />
