RESOLUTION 8803 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OFRAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT FOR MUNICIPAL WELL <br />NO. 1 REHABILITATION <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works staff prepared bid documents in-house for the well <br />rehabilitation of Municipal Well No. 1 in accordance with industry standards and the City solicited <br />seven (7) and received five (5) quotes; and <br />WHEREAS, Thein Well Company, Inc. of Spicer, Minnesota submitted the lowest quote in <br />the amount of $31,557.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved the quotes received and awarded the well <br />rehabilitation contract to Thein Well Company, Inc. at the March 27, 2017 Council Meeting <br />Resolution 8736); and, <br />WHEREAS, Thein Well Company, Inc. has successfully completed the well rehabilitation of <br />Municipal Well No. 1 and met all other contract requirements for the project with a substantial <br />completion date of July 7, 2017, and a final construction cost of $37,848.00; and, <br />WHEREAS, City staff recommends accepting the completed well rehabilitation work, and <br />issuing final payment for $37,848.00 to Thein Well Company, Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. All work completed under the well rehabilitation contract between the City of Mounds <br />View and Thein Well Company, Inc. for the rehabilitation of Municipal Well No. 1 Project <br />City Project No. 2017-007) is hereby accepted and approved. <br />2. The Finance Director is authorized to issue final payment of $37,848.00 to Thein Well <br />Company, Inc. for completing the project. <br />Adopted this 14t" day of August, 2017. <br />Carol A.
