Comprehensive Sewer Plan <br />Stantec will complete an update to the City's Comprehensive Sewer Plan (CSP). The tasks below <br />outline the scope of services for the work. The estimated cost to complete this work is $16,000. <br />The plan will focus on meeting the latest regulatory minimum requirements as required by <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />1. PROJECT INITIATION/MANAGEMENT <br />a. Hold a kickoff meeting with City staff to discuss the City's needs, refine study goals and <br />expectations, and confirm the work plan for the project. <br />b. Schedule a progress meeting. At this point, we have budgeted for only the kickoff <br />meeting. If progress meetings are desired, they can be done at an additional cost to <br />the project. <br />2. DATA COLLECTION <br />a. At the kickoff meeting, discuss data needed for the study. This information could <br />include (electronic files preferred): <br />i. System mapping, topography, and aerial photography <br />ii. Physical system data (pipe lengths, sizes, and invert elevations; lift station and <br />forcemain data) <br />iii. 1/1 data, ordinances and policies, and implementation activities <br />iv. Water use and connection data <br />v. Latest land use, from the Comprehensive Plan update <br />vi. Capital improvement plan that includes a proposed time schedule for the <br />construction of new trunk sewers <br />vii. Past studies and reports <br />viii. Known problem areas <br />b. Follow up with City staff to obtain the available information. <br />3. INFILTRATION AND INFLOW <br />a. Based on Metropolitan Council requirements, review the 1/1 section of the plan and <br />update the section to define the City's goals, policies, and strategies for preventing <br />and reducing excessive 1/1 in the local sewer system.
