This information will include: <br />i. Defining the requirements and standards for minimizing 1/1 and for the <br />disconnection of sump pump, foundation drain, and/or rain leader connections <br />to the sanitary sewer system; <br />ii. Referencing your local ordinance that prohibits the discharge of sump pumps, <br />foundation drains, and/or rain leaders to the sanitary disposal system as well as <br />requiring the disconnection of these items to the sanitary sewer system; <br />iii. Including a summary of activities and/or programs related to 1/1 source <br />mitigation on private sewer services; <br />iv. Describing the extent, source, and significance of existing 1/1 problems in your <br />community; <br />v. Analyzing the costs to remediate the 1/1 issues that have been identified; and <br />vi. Creating an implementation plan that contains a program strategy, priorities, <br />scheduling, and financing mechanisms for eliminating and preventing <br />excessive 1/1 from entering the sanitary sewer system. <br />4. REPORT DELIVERABLE <br />a. Prepare a user-friendly report consistent with Met Council requirements that can be <br />read by a non-technical audience yet still provides sufficiently detailed technical data <br />for use by the City in sewer planning. <br />b. Include graphics, figures, and maps to clarify items discussed in the report. <br />c. Provide draft and final reports as follows: <br />i. First draft for City staff review <br />ii. Second draft for submittal to Metropolitan Council <br />iii. Final report for City approval and use <br />d. Present the results of the report at a City Councilor other public meeting, at the City's <br />direction <br />c. Water Supply Plan <br />It is our understanding that the City completed its Water Supply Plan in late 2016. Accordingly, it <br />should be largely complete and consistent with requirements of the Metropolitan Council and the <br />MnDNR. Stantec will perform a review of the plan and accompanying documentation and <br />update as necessary to meet current requirements.
