City Planner/Supervisor Sevald reported this was the <br />case. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if a brewery could be located in the City if four off-sale liquor licenses <br />were already in the community. City Planner/Supervisor Sevald commented the Ordinance could <br />be adjusted to allow for the brewery. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would support the City not having a numeric limit on the <br />number of off-sale liquor licenses. Rather, he supported the market dictating this number. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Amend Ordinance 942 removing the number <br />limitation within the Ordinance language. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron supported the number limitation being removed from the Ordinance <br />believing this would benefit future City Councils. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Hull) Amendment carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance <br />942, an Amendment to the Mounds View City Code, Section 502 related to Off-Sale Intoxicating <br />Liquor Licenses as amended. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Hull) Amended motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8935, Approving Splash Pad Equipment and Installation of the <br />Playground Equipment and Components for City Hall Park. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase and installation of <br />splash pad equipment and components for City Hall Park. He explained the City Council has <br />discussed having a splash pad in the community for several years. He discussed the <br />recommendations of the Parks Recreation and Forestry Commission and reviewed the plans for <br />the splash pad. He noted this project would be sent out for public bid with the hopes of having <br />the project completed by August of 2018. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if there would be seating available under the shade canopies. Public Works <br />Director Peterson reported there would be picnic tables located under the shade canopies and <br />noted there would be benches around the entire park area. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller questioned what the months of operation would be for the splash pad. Public <br />Works Director Peterson anticipated the splash pad would be open from mid-May to September <br />or October. He provided further comment on the water usage projections for the splash pad and <br />noted it would be a recirculating system which would assist in saving water. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull asked what the yearly maintenance costs would be for the splash pad. <br />Public Works Director Peterson commented the major expenses would be for chlorine and staff
