He estimated the chlorine would cost $2,000 per year and staff time would cost $10,000. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller questioned if the splash pad maintenance could be completed by a seasonal <br />employee. Public Works Director Peterson stated his plan would be to have seasonal employees <br />complete this work. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8935, <br />Approving Splash Pad Equipment and Installation of the Playground Equipment and <br />Components for City Hall Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated the YMCA Advisory Commission asked if the splash pad <br />could be reserved for parties. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron suggested the splash pad rental be limited to two hours blocks. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Hull) Motion carried. <br /> <br />F. Resolution 8934, Authorizing Approval of Waiver for 60th Anniversary Logo <br />Contest. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council authorize approval of a waiver for the 60th <br />Anniversary Logo Contest. He explained the waiver was necessary in order for the City to use <br />the award-winning logo. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if only Edgewood Middle School was asked to submit logos for the <br />contest. City Administrator Zikmund stated he believed Pinewood Elementary School was also <br />asked to be a part of the contest. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller questioned how the public could view the winning logo. City Administrator <br />Zikmund reported the winning logo would be posted on the City’s website after the waiver was <br />signed. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8934, <br />Authorizing Approval of Waiver for 60th Anniversary Logo Contest. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron asked how the logo would be used by the City. City Administrator <br />Zikmund stated it would be used on bags and by staff for correspondence. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked all who participated in the logo contest. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />G. Resolution 8936, Approving Building Alterations and Building Maintenance <br />Needs for the Community Center. <br />
