To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance 911, 3 <br />an Ordinance to Consider Revising Section 502.12, subd. 2 of the Liquor Code Relating to 4 <br />Sunday Sales. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Flaherty supported the proposed Code amendment stating it would bring City Code in 7 <br />alignment with State Statute. 8 <br /> 9 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 10 <br /> 11 <br />D. Resolution 8485, Approving Severance for Heidi Heller, Former Planning 12 <br />Associate. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council approve severance for Heidi Heller the 15 <br />City’s former Planning Associate. She noted Ms. Heller had been with the City for the past 10 16 <br />years and her last day of employment was October 30th. She reviewed the amount of sick and 17 <br />vacation hours that would be paid out to Ms. Heller. 18 <br /> 19 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8485, 20 <br />Approving Severance for Heidi Heller, Former Planning Associate. 21 <br /> 22 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 23 <br /> 24 <br />E. Resolution 8480, Authorizing the Morris Leatherman Company to Conduct a 25 <br />Telephone Survey of 400 Mounds View Residents Relating to Organized 26 <br />Collection and Approving Survey Instrument. 27 <br /> 28 <br />City Administrator Ericson explained the Council has agreed to move forward with polling 29 <br />residents to ascertain opinions regarding organized trash collection. He reported Morris 30 <br />Leatherman has drafted a survey for this work and the survey would be conducted the first week 31 <br />of December. It was noted that updates to the questions were made based on the feedback 32 <br />provided by the Council at their November 9th meeting. Staff recommended the Council 33 <br />authorize Morris Leatherman to conduct a telephone survey in Mounds View relating to 34 <br />organized collection. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if the number of questions would be reduced. City 37 <br />Administrator Ericson commented that the survey takers would not be reading all of the 38 <br />questions but rather would be circling the response provided by the resident. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Mueller was interested in learning if residents were interested in selecting their 41 <br />own service provider and asked if Question 6 could be revised. City Administrator Ericson 42 <br />believed that Question 7 would allow residents to expand on their feelings regarding this topic. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Flaherty anticipated that Question 7 was the most important within the survey. 45
