RESOLUTION 8530 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA ACCEPT IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVE FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE 2015 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT. WHEREAS, Public Works prepared project documents for the repair work in accordance with industry standards, and a public bid solicitation was sent out with 4 bids being received; and WHEREAS, Hydro-Klean LLC of Des Moines, Iowa, submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $240,030.81; and WHEREAS, City Council approved a construction contract with Hydro-Klean LLC to perform the sanitary sewer work for $240,030.81 in Resolution 8421; and, WHEREAS, City Council approved additional funding in the amount of $4,207.48 for necessary contract modifications to complete the project in Resolution 8525; and, WHEREAS, Hydro-Klean LLC has successfully completed all project construction and met all other contract requirements for the Project with a substantial completion date of October 20, 2015 and a final construction cost of $253,838.29; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends accepting the completed construction work and issuing final payment for $19,892.33 to Hydro-Klean LLC. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. All work completed under the contract between the City and Hydro-Klean LLC for construction of the 2015 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The Finance Director is authorized to issue final payment of $19,892.33 to Hydro-Klean LLC for completing construction of the Project.
